This is a forum .. so what the thoughts ? (the subject title, was just to get the wavesailors attention, as we're generally a bit less "organized" than the racers)
Any takers to attend a wavesailing get-together (in the E.Cape) ?
I'm not so excited about a compo, as then you only get a few minutes on the water. Bring the wave-kit (and blasting gear, as there's some good blasting around the Kromme River), some beers & braaiwood, and we plan a weekend of wave-sailing?
Or scrap the organizing altogether, and just call it on the mid-week weather forecast.
I'm thinking winter cold-fronts (May to July), with some world-class surfbreaks (J'Bay / Seals), and epic saling spots (Shelley's / Magna's), and accom at Cape St Francis resorts, by the beach. There are some under-sailed gems on our doorstep.
Although it seems to still be windy season in PE.
Mailling list of email addresses? And send the out-of-towners the emails early enough, so that cars can be loaded, and accom booked ??
Formal / Informal arrangements .... anybody keen for a wavesailing roadtrip ???
