The Cape Windsurf Center is found on the shores of the huge Langebaan lagoon. It is one hours drive north of Cape Town on the west coast of South Africa.
The turkish blue water of the 20km long X 1,5km wide lagoon offers exceptional flat water to bumpand jump, freestyle, slalom conditions.
The wind direction in summer is side shore and the wind statistics show that from October to March we have 20 – 25 days wind over 4 Bft per month. From November through to February one can expect some days of up to 7Bft.
The station offers for rental the latest JP, Fanatic, Tabou windsurf boards and the latest Neil Pryde sails all rigged and ready for use. Kayaks, Mountain bikes are also available for rental. The equipment is maintained in top condition throughout the season.
There is a shop with all the newest Quiksilver, Roxy, Fox, Oakley clothing, also toilets, change rooms and warm showers. Surrounding the big hall is 500m2 of grass with wind and sun shelters to rigg on and also place to sun bathe.
This perfect combination of wind and infrastructure has brought the German Surf Magazine to us to do their Mega Test, for 8 years now, of all their wave and freeride equipment.
