DescriptionTidal sand flats around Inhaca island, across the bay from Maputo. The area between the island and the tip of the mainland that forms the bay has sheltered flat water, ranging from waist deep to chest deep water at high tide depending on the tides. Very little tidal current because the area empties from 2 sides. Approximately 4 hours sailable at high tide, otherwise too shallow for windsurfers.
Some fishing nets around the main channels are marked by sticks in the water, however they do not present a big hazard once you see where they are placed.
