Hey,
Has anybody got any decent'ish blasting kit, at giveaway prices ?
Around 100+L slalom / bump n jump style board, and approx 6.5m sail and matching mast ?
For those flat 15knot summer's days - when the beachfront looks so appealing, and I can't get planing on my wave stuff.
What you got lying in your garage, that you've upgraded or don't use anymore ?

Hey Dave,
Cool pics from your session in Cannons, looks pretty hardcore, the swell must have been scary on the outside!
We caught some NW in CPT on Saturday, with some crazy enough to try crayfish factory. Photos dont do it justice though, as the guys were disappearing in between the mast and a half sets.. I'll try and get a few pics online.
With conditions like you've had recently, makes me wonder why you need the blasting kit? Anyway, hope to make a trip to PE again soon, happy sailing!

Hey Tahke,
Wind was around 50 knots +, the whole of yesterday, so 4 of us nutters headed to Cannons, where it's meant to be a few knots lighter. We didn't head past the backline, as the rolling whitewater was in a bad mood and there was a monster rip current, with the spring tides.
Even the usually tame shorebreak taught us all a lession at some stage.
James (just back from Pozo) had a blast on his 4.2 ... but mostly it was survival conditions with some monster jumps.
Winter tends to bring out survival conditions in CT too - good to see that we were all "respecting" the ocean, and obeying the small craft warnings !! |
