Ever since I've been a kid I was fascinated with windsurfing (especially watching those guys in PE keeping pace with the car when a good wind is blowing), and recently it's been at the fore front of my mind. I have never been on a windsurfer before in my life and decided that I really want to learn to windsurf.
Is there anyone in the Jo'burg area that can give me windsurf lessons and know where I can rent a kit, as I first want to try it out before laying out the moola on a full new kit. I am willing to pay for the lessons and am also willing to travel to Harties, Bronkies or Vaal dam for the lessons.
PS. I used to waterski (even open ocean skiing) and I heard somewhere that it should give me some advantage when learning to windsurf.

Hey there you should join us at bronkies sometime there is also a learning rig that belongs to TCC...

| Don't know if you got my mail. When are you guys planning on going to Bronkies again? I will arrange with TCC for the use of their training rig. Wind is blowing nicely in Jo'burg today and got me even more eager to learn windsurfing. |

Howzit - we may be going to Bronks tomorrow at about 11AM. Forecast around 10 knots but hoping it's going to get up to maybe 15 in the gusts. Don't bother ever sailing at Harties - it's a sewage farm. Bronks and Vaal are best bet. Vaal usually windier than Bronks but more sailors at Bronks. Post your phone number and we'll give you a call if we go.
