The Windsurfing Movie is poised to be windsurfing’s defining film. Directed by award winning cinematographer Johnny DeCesare of Poor Boyz Productions and featuring the best riders in windsurfing history—The Windsurfing Movie conveys the beauty of Windsurfing in brilliant 16mm film.

After winning both Powder and Ski Magazine’s Film of the Year honors for the 2005 release of War, DeCesare has turned his lens toward the ocean. The response from the windsurfing industry has been remarkable—with Levi Siver, Jason Polakow, Kai Lenny and the king himself Robby Naish all working on the project.

"The Movie was played and premiered at windfest the weekend just passed on The Pryde stand.

It generated alot of interest as real work of art and we were never short of spectators, sales went very well and this is clearly windsurfing's answer to surfing's endless summer series, amazing footage, and incredible soundtrack with some great narration and a collection of involving stories.

I can testify from three days of having a continuous loop playing you'll actually never tire of it and will be happy to play it over and over again!"

"Great Music, Great Editing & Great Action!! This film is truly awesome and will make anyone who watches it love windsurfing!"

Hi All!! I have personally seen almost every windsurfing movie ever made, mostly in a continuous loop day in and day out... everyday... believe me... But this one is good!! It is pretty much a real MOVIE which the wife can mabe watch once with you and actually enjoy it, and then (like a customer commented earlier today on the phone..) you can watch it for the rest of your life!!! It has some really cool footage of the very first windsurf mags and footage ever shot, also Polakow where he is probably like 3 years old or something! And to quote the man himself..."Today is a REALLY good time to be a windsurfer!!"... Aint that true!? Anyway, as mentioned, we have it here in the shop, so you can come check it out! Aloha and enjoy the coming windy days! C on the H2O! L

I must agree with everyone on this. I bought it yesterday, and its awesome. At the end of watching for the first time, I immediately pressed play again. Its not like most other windsurfing dvd's that is just fully of sick moves, although this has it's fair share, but it goes into the history, the legends and their lives etc (plus one seriously talented future star, Kai Lenny). The soundtrack is fantastic and the footage is amazing. Its a blend of Riding Giants and Endless Summer, but for windsurfing. This is truely an awesome movie and a must have dvd for the collection! Don't think it'll be leaving the dvd player for a long time.
